ZIVJETI NA OSOVINI KNIN-KIJEVO-PARAPLEGIJA

Cijenjene dame i gospodo

Osobno bi mi bilo vrlo drago ako nadjete vremena i volje procitati ovo moje pismo od pocetka do kraja. Iako znam da postoji mogucnost da ste do sada vec primali ne mali broj pisama slicnog sadrzaja i iako slutim da ste mozda i sami iscrpljeni slicnim vapajima. Zelim Vas ovdje upoznati sa akad. slikarom i graficarom Antom Teskerom i njegovom neveselom situacijom te Vas uljudno zamoliti da, ako ste ikako u mogucnosti obratite pozornost na tog, teskom sudbinom pogodjenog kreativca, koji ce se beskrajno veseliti ako mu se javite barem sa par ljubaznih rijeci. 

Ante Teskera rodjen je 1972. u Kninu a do 1980. živio je sa obitelji u selu Kijevo koje je svehrvatskoj budnoj javnosti poznato po strahoti koja je nanesena tom selu i hrvatskom stanovnistvu od strane Srba. 1980. Ante je nastradao u automobilskoj nesreci s posljedicom trajne oduzetosti donjih ekstremiteta (paraplegija). Osnovnu je školu zapoceo u Kijevu, potom nastavio u Kraljevici te završio u Zagrebu u Centru za odgoj, obrazovanje i osposobljavanje djece i mladeži. Tu je priveo kraju srednju upravno-birotehnicku školu. Dvije je slijedece godine boravio u Centru kao prognanik. 1995. uspijeva se upisati na Akademiju Likovnih Umjetnosti u Zagrebu na kojoj je diplomirao u veljaci 2001. u klasi prof. Miroslava Šuteja. Obracam Vam se s molbom u nadi da ste u mogucnosti na bilo koji nacin pomoci ovom mladom umjetniku u nezavidnoj situaciji u kojoj se nasao. Mozda ste ona(j) koji/koja ima ideja kako pomoci, bilo savjetom ili konkretnom transparentom akcijom tipa organizirati izlozbe njegovih radova, otkupiti koji od radova, preporuciti umjetnika onima koji bi znali i(li) mogli uciniti slicno. Kao likovnjak Ante Teskera radi u tehnikama ulja na platnu, grafika (suha igla, bakropis + aquatinta, litografija) i kolazi a poznata mu je i problematika stolnog izdavastva odnosno dizajnerski rad, od ideje do tiska. Ante bi bio sretan kad bi mogao zivjeti od svojeg osobnog rada. Jer je svjestan svojih mogucnosti tesko mu pada biti u poziciji onog koji moli za pomoc no svi znamo u kakvoj nam
se situciji trenutacno nalazi Lijepa nasa u kojoj kreativci i uopce mladi ljudi friskih ideja tesko da
nalaze prostora za djelovanje. Usput budi receno, Ante nije od onih koji prima socijalnu ili sl. pomoc od strane drzave nego sva sredstva prezivljavanja su honorari njegove umjetnicke djelatnosti a ti su pak nazalost rijetki. Apeliram na Vasu osobnu hrabrost, javite se Anti Teskeri barem kojom ljubaznom rjecju a kad se pojavite u Zagrebu posjetite ga, rado ce Vam pokazati svoja djela i "prosetati se" s Vama po bregima izvanzagrebackim.

U nastavku rijeci povjesnicarke umjetnosti Visnje Slavice Gabout o
radovima Ante Teskere:

Slikarski svijet Ante Teskere ponajviše je svijet kolaža. Svijet jedne
druge, paralelne realnosti - presložene i analiticki sredene, istodobno disciplinirane i poeticne, aluzivne i
sinteticne, u kojoj se rastapaju granice izmedu stvarnog i imaginarnog, u kojoj je iluzija taktilna i u kojoj fizickiosjet izmice materijalnoj odredljivosti. A iznad svega, svijet je to kreativne igre - igre asocijacija i optickihsenzacija, igre znacenja i komunikacijskih transformacija, prostornih pomaka i sadržajnih odmaka. Jer kolaž je taktilna metamorfozaforme i sadržaja. On ne predstavlja stvarnost, niti je opisuje, ali je od nje sazdan i o njoj opipljivosvjedoci. On je i predmetna cinjenica i iluzija; dijalektika vida i privida; zbilja i njezina predodžba. Njegovi djelici su uzorci istarih i novih struktura, sudionici i starog i  novog vizualnog poretka. U neodoljivim, prividnim prostorima kolažaprotice neodredljiva protocnost vremena i cure, 
poniru i bujaju umnoženi kadrovi jednog novostvorenog svijeta - koji je tu, koji se može opipati, ali koji istodobno izmice iz ruku i iz vidokruga, pretvarajuci se, kao neštofizicko, smisleno i misleno, u nešto drugo - sasvim iluzivno. U novim srodnostima i novim susjedstvima otkrivaju se tako neki drukcijiprostori i nepoznati vidovi poznatoga. Kolaži Ante Teskere isjeccima preuzetima iz poznate stvarnosti - iz
pronadenog materijala (tiskovine) kreiraju novu zbilju i novu predmetnost. Pritom ovaj autor pokazuje poseban interes zageometrijsku gradnju slike, konstruirane pomocu pravilnih, izduženih traka papira u boji, strpljivo lijepljenog pojednom tehnicki discipliniranom i matematicki  promišljenom principu, s naglaskom na facetiranim apstraktnim formama i nacvrstoj strukturi slike. Slike oblikovane  škarama i naslikane papiricima obojenih, šarenih uzoraka, kompozicijskiuravnotežene po zakonitostima klasicnog  “zlatnog reza” i koloristicki usuglašene i dinamizirane aktivnim odnosomapliciranih obojenih ploha. Kolaži su to 
gustog i pikturalno zasicenog linearnog umreženja, neobicnih prostornih rastvaranja - dubokih proboja i beskrajnih širenja, snažnih pulsirajucih ritmova i naglašenih energetskih cvorišta,koji pobuduju osjetilne i mentalne senzacije, aktiviraju kombinatoriku, sugeriraju poetiku i nude slobodnu igruimaginacije, istražujuci na taj nacin neke druge prostore i prekoracujuci iluzionisticki prag imaginarne slikarskeravni.  U avanturu traganja za osobnim likovnim izrazom Ante Teskera tako ulazi sjedne strane cistom i strogom organizacijom 
slike, redom i sabranošcu, analiticnošcu i sinteticnošcu, cvrstom strukturom i jasnom konstrukcijom, dok s druge svoj izraz boji zacudnom sugestivnošcu i ekspresivnošcu, pritajenom culnošcu ijednom oduhovljenošcu unutarnjeg videnja, što njegovu izricaju pridaje komponentu osobnosti, emotivne angažiranostii poetske slobode. Komponentu neophodnu  da bi se ovo slikarstvo smjestilo u individualni kadar i išcitalo kaojedna neponovljiva, kreativna autorska prica i  autorova subjektivna, maštovita slikarska vizija.

LIVING ON AXIS KNIN-KIJEVO-PARAPLEGIA

Honoured Ladies and Gentlemen,
Personelly I would be very pleased if you find time and will to read my
letter from the beginning to the end. Even though I now there is
possibility that by now you have recived a great number of letters with
similar contents and even though I assume that you might feel little
exhausted because of similar longings.In this moment I would like to
introduce you academic painter and graphic artist Ante Teskera and his
unhappy situation, and to politely ask, if you are in any way in position,
to pay attention on this creative individual, hit by a hard destiny, who
will be endlessly happy if you write him just a couple of nice words. Ante
Teskera was born in 1972 in Knin and untill 1980 he lived with his family
in Kijevo, village known to croatian watchfull public by horrible things
who affected the village and croatian population, done by Serbs. In 1980
Ante was injured in car accident and the consequence was permanent
paralysis of lower extremities (paraplegia). He started elementary school
in Kijevo, continued in Kraljevica and finished in Zagreb in Centre for
education and training of children and youth. In this Centre he graduated
secondary administrative school. Next two years he lived in the Centre as
a refugee. In 1995 he manages to register in Academy of Fine Art in Zagreb
and he graduated in February 2001, in the class of professor Miroslav
Sutej. I turn to you for a favour, hoping that you are in the position to
provide help to this young artist in unenviable situation in wich he found
himself. Maybe you are the person who have ideas how to help, either
through advice or concrete transparent action like: to organize
exhibitions of his work, to buy up some of his work, to recommend this
artist to those who knows and (or) could do something like this. As an
artist Ante Teskera works in techniques as oil on canvas, graphic (dry
needle, copper etching + aquatinta, litography) and collages. He knows the
problems of desktop publishing in design work - from idea to print.
Ante would be happy if he could live from his own work. Because he is
aware of his possibilities, it is hard for him to be in the position of
person who ask for help, but we all knows in wich situation is our
beautiful country Croatia at this moment and generally where creative and
young people with fresh ideas hardly find a space for perform. By the way,
Ante is not one of those who receive social or other help provided by
state, all his resources for surviving are author's artistic royalties,
wich are rare.
I appeal on your personel courage, send at least a couple of kind words to
Ante Teskera, and when you come to Zagreb try to visit him, he will be
happy to show you his work and take you 'for a walk' across the hills near
Zagreb.

In the words of art historian Višnja Slavica Gabout:

The painter's world of Ante Teskera is primarily the one of collage. A
world of another, parallel reality -  recomposed and analytically composed, synchronously disciplined and
poetic, allusive and synthetic, where the dividing line between the real and the imaginary is blurred,where illusion is tactile and the physical sensation eludes material identifiability. And most of all, it is
the world of creative play - a play of associations and optical sensations, a play of meanings and
communicative transformations, of spatial shifts and contextual detachment. For, collage is a tactile metamorphosisof form and content. It is neither a representation nor a description of reality, yet it is made of it andtangibly testifies to it. It is both an objective fact and an illusion; the dialectics of perception and
semblance; the reality and its image. His fragments are but patterns of structures old and new, participants in anold as well as new visual order. In the irresistible, imaginary reaches of the collage there flows an
imponderable fluidity of time, and trickle, disappear underground, then heave some multiplied frames of a newlycreated world - which is here to be touched, yet elusive and tending to escape from the horizon, turning, asif something physical, meaningful and reflective, into something quite different - quite illusive indeed. Innew relationships and new neighbourhoods some different spaces are thus unveiled, some unknownaspects of the known. By segments of the known reality - taken from the found print material - the collagesof Ante Teskera create a new reality and a new subjectivity. While doing so, this author shows a particularinterest in drawing a geometric figure made of straight, coloured paper ribbons laboriously glued together on atechnically disciplined and  mathematically well thought-out principle, with emphasis on faceted
abstract forms and a solid structure of the picture. The painting picture shaped by scissors and painted in
ribbons of multicoloured patterns, its composition balanced by following the rules of the classical goldensection, colouristically harmonised and dynamised through an active interplay of appliquéd coloured surfaces.These are the collages of a fine, pictorially saturated linear mesh, of peculiar spatial partitions - of
deep penetrations and infinite expansions, of potent pulsating rhythms and pronounced energy sources, that inducesensory and mental sensations, activate the combinatorial skill, suggest poetics and invite to a free
play of imagination, exploring thus some other spaces and crossing the illusionist threshold of an imaginary
painting plane.Ante Teskera plunges into this adventurous quest for a personal visual
expression with a pure and rigorous arrangement, with order and composure, analysis and synthesis, with a
solid structure and clear design on one hand, whereas on the other he tints his expression with amazing
suggestiveness and expressiveness, with suppressed sensuality and a spirituality of the inner vision that impartsto his expression a touch of individuality, emotional engagement and poetic license. The touch vital for putting hispainting within an individual frame and to reading it as a unique, creative author's tale and his personal,imaginative painter's vision.
