The prize-winning Klapa Sinj has been one of the most revered singing ensembles on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia for over 20 years. The group is a leading proponent of the extraordinary polyphonic vocal tradition known as klapa, an all-male vocal style heavily influenced by Italian harmonies and melodies. In addition to a cappella vocals, the ensemble will perform songs accompanied by Nenad Bach on guitar and piano, and musicians on tamburitza (lute), percussion, piano and bass.
Mr. Bach, hailing from Croatia, is a recording artist, composer, and performer who has recorded for Sony, Polygram and many other labels. Two of his albums reached No. 1 in Europe, and to date he has sold over one million records. In addition, he has performed all over the world with a wide range of artists, including Luciano Pavarotti, Bono & The Edge (U2), Brian Eno, Indigo Girls, Richie Havens, and many more.
