CONCERT DEBUT IN MAJESTIC GRANADA
Ivana Marija Vidović with the ensemble in Granada

For any musician who has been involved in music, in this context classical, since early childhood, performing in the imposing and magnificent Granada with a Spanish-Hispanic repertoire perfectly arranged with great colleagues in the ensemble, but also with another Croat, Frano Kakarigi, our respected double bass player from Dubrovnik with an address in Granada, it is probably like one of the dreams come true that all those who are truly involved in music could long for!

The Dubrovnik pianist Ivana Marija Vidović made her debut in Granada in the Auditorium Caja Rural with an ensemble composed of soloists from the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada orchestra with the aroma of the luxurious and almost unreal beauty of Alhambra, imbued with the spirit of the greats Manuel de Falla and Federico GarcĂa Lorca whose strong spirits subtly imposes itself and permeates everything that happens in this unique city. The concert was also attended by Elena GarcĂa Paredes de Falla, fondly known as "Coco Falla", the composer's great-niece who protects and researches Manuel de Falla's oeuvre and also holds the position of director of the Manuel de Falla Archive in Granada. Performers rewarded the euphoria and warmth of the audience with encores.

"Granada enchanted me totally! It will be my eternal dream from which I will reluctantly move on and to which I will gladly return either in reality or in dreams. Thank you to everyone who made it possible for me, entrusted me with this immense joy and honor to present my Dubrovnik and Croatia in a city that I can rightly confirm as colossal! In the same year, 1492, the Alhambra fell without a single drop of spilled blood, Columbus "found" America, and the splendor of the crown and dignified victory and appropriation of King Ferdinand II. and Queen Isabella the Catholic is a true guide to today's world, which is spinning around without success, tiring us with absurd struggles.

Beauty is still the overwhelming and eternal winner! Granada is a true beauty and a winner in every sense, for which I can only repeat the famous Hemingway's saying: If you have to see only one Spanish city, then let it be Granada!" - pianist and poet Ivana Marija Vidović expressed her vivid impressions on her return.
