In 1959 the Antarctic Treaty is signed, which declares that Antarctica will be a continent for peace, science and international collaboration. In 2015, the author travels to the Esperanza Antarctic base to carry out an artistic project: a purification ritual, through which the participants free themselves from their emotional burdens to contribute to the construction of said landscape of peace. Ć¢€œTerra Australis AedificandaĆ¢€ is made up of photographs taken during that art residency.
