Oliver Dragojević, distinguished Croatian pop singer



Oliver Dragojević had innumerably many concerts throughout Croatia. He also had concerts at very prestigious concerts halls throught the world:

  • Olympia in Paris
  • Carnegie Hall in New York
  • Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas
  • Royal Albert Hall in London
  • Konzerthaus in Vienna
  • Opera House in Sydney.











Umra je Oliver.

Zamuča je rašpavi glas koji smo svi volili. Michael Bolton iz Vela Luke.

Zamučala je Dalmacija, zamučali smo smi mi koji smo uz njegove pisme živili. Resli, jubili, pivali, guštali, sičali se, sanjali.

Ko se ikada cova s ocen, razumi i više nego Oprosti mi, pape. Kad god smo se čudili kako nam stvari idu bolje ili gore, pivali bi Skalinadu. Ko se sića velike jubavi, pivaće Cesaricu. Ko je bija siromaj, razumi Roka i Cicibelu, muški koji u starijoj dobi vole mlade divojke, ćutili su Starog morskog vuka. Ko je ikad gleda galeba kako lebdi povr škoja ne mičući krilima, mislija je na Galeba. Nema životne situacije u kojoj nismo našli riči utjehe u njegovin pismama.

Ima li koga od nas da nije jednog lita poša na hotelsku terasu slušati glazbu i plesati u mraku s dragon ili dragin? Na Oliverove pisme... Rekli su neki da mu je muzika popravila rvacki natalitet. Biće...

Nije se Oliver pojavija u kraju di nema muzike, ne. Stara je tradicija pivanja a capella u Dalmaciji, i svjetovne i crkvene glazbe. Od gregorijanskih korala, do višeglasne pisme, muških pa zatin i ženskih klapa, od spliskog festivala, pa onog off, omiškog, pa onda svih onih silnih klapskih večeri na vr' sela malog. Ogromna je tradicija pisme u našen kraju. Nema toga na svitu. Ma, je, ima. Bugarske sopranistice, korzikanska polifonija, Baski, Kubanci, Barber shop singers na jugu SAD-a. Eto, i mi smo među njin, i mi smo dija te nematerijalne baštine. Da nema te stoljetne, kvalitetne podloge, ne bi se jedan Oliver rodija.

Ko se sića pjesnika Vinka Kalinića i njegove pisme Sipe piva?

Sipe piva, a u glasu mu roštaju makine

Velikih brodi, na kih je oganj ložija

Te smo stihove čitali u skuli. Ko god je volija Olivera, ćutija je i čuja u njegovon glasu more, škoje, jubavi, kalete, konobe, buru, beštime, fjaku, lipotu, finecu, štoriju... U njegovon glasu roštala je kora masline, stara batela iz porta, vrša i Vela Luka.

Ne znan kako vaman, ali meni je ona najtipičnija slika Dalmacije zalaz sunca iza otoka, bonaca, i zvuk četverotaktnog motora na trabukulu negdi u kanalu.

A najtipičniji glas Dalmacije voljene je Oliver.
