Marijan Đuzel

Born in 1990, Marijan Đuzel is currently a Concertmusicus Diploma candidate at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, studying under Aleksandar Madzar. He earned his master's degree in 2015 at the Academy of Music in Zagreb under Djordje Stanetti. He was a semifinalist of the 14th Beethoven International Piano Competition Vienna in 2013 and most recently won one of the most prestigious Croatian music awards “Darko Lukic“ for the best recital given by a young musician in the Lisinski Hall in Zagreb.

In 2017, Marijan performed with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the Zadar Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of Croatian National Theatre in Split and others. He was the winner of numerous piano competitions in Croatia (Zlatko Grgoševic, Young Virtuoso, Lions Grand Prix, Croatian National Piano). He performed in festivals such as Music at Eelswamp (Thailand), Nei Suoni dei Luoghi (Italy), Hvar Summer Festival, Zadar Concert Season, Youth at Lisinski (Croatia) and others.

Marijan Đuzel

Marijan Аuzel was born in Imotski, Croatia, in 1990. He started playing the piano at the age of nine and French horn one year later. Marijan attended the "Josip Hatze" Music School in Split from 2005 to 2009 studying piano with Prof. Kosovka Čudina. Since 2009 Marijan has been a student at the Academy of Music Zagreb in the class of Prof. Djordje Stanetti.

In 2006, he was a soloist at Mozart's 250th Birthday€œ concert in Varaždin with Mozart's Piano Concerto K 414 and the Zagreb Soloists. In 2011, he embarked on a concert tour to Budapest, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Graz and Vienna with Zoltan Kocsis and the EuPhony Youth Orchestra. In the same year, he won a full ISA (International Summer Academy) scholarship and worked with eminent piano pedagogues. In 2012, Marijan appeared at the Lisinski Hall for the first time performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the Zagreb Philharmonic, participated at the European Piano Contest in Bremen and was invited for a solo recital at the festival Nei Suoni dei Luoghi in Italy.

Marijan Đuzel attended master classes with famous piano pedagogues such as Karl-Heinz Kammerling, Joaquin Acchucarro, Dubravka Tomšić-Srebotnjak, Avedis Kouyoumdijan, Jan Jiraček von Arnim, Grigory Gruzman etc.

As a soloist, Marijan performed with the Zagreb Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Zadar Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of Croatian National Theatre in Split and others. He gave recitals at many festivals such as Music at Eelswamp (Thailand), International Keyboard Institute & Festival (New York), Nei Suoni dei Luoghi (Italy), Hvar Summer Festival, Zadar Concert Season, Rab Musical Evenings, Concerts in Euphrasian Basilica, Youth at Lisinski (Croatia) and others.
