Ivica Percl (1945-2007) was Croatian singer, composer and painter, who accompanied his singing with his guitar and harp. His best known song is Stari Pjer, composed by Đorđe Novković. It is very little known that this song was beautifully interpreted by a famous Greek singer Nana Mouskouri, in French and in German. In this article we collect some of their interpretations of the song, as well as by a few other singers. As a musician, he took part in defense of Croatia with his guitar on warious Croatian battlefields, since 1991. He was a very modest and unassuming person.

1993. Likovni umjetnici za mir, Galerija Vatroslav Lisinski, Zagreb
1993. Izložba i aukcija slika u korist 145. brigade

Hrvatski izlog

U izlogu tome, na svjetskom sajmu -
mi smo naprijed, stavljeni prvi.
Izlažemo patnju novu, a bol staru.
Kruh naš svagdašnji i kalež pun krvi.
Mi dajemo žrtvu na oltaru.
U izlogu tome muk zvona
srušenih zvonika.

Grobovi mladih domobrana srčanih bojovnika.
Zgažena groblja - sve u nekom muku.
Na toj izložbi, na toj misi,
mi dajemo žrtvu, žrtvu vezanih ruku.

Na svjetskom sajmu -€“ u hrvatskom antikvaru
sablast mrtvih gradova.
Prolivena krv ptica.

U izlogu pluta bol zgaslih nada, naših padova.
Grč nebrojenih lica;
sakate djece, mrtvih Hrvata, Hrvatica.
Suze obeščašćenih djevojčica,
molitve, molitve starica.
U izlogu tome, tog antikvara,
krv mučenika, bol pastira.
Krik Dubrovnika, vrisak Vukovara!
Razor, samo razor doma Kraljice mira.

Nebeske Kraljice mira.
U izlogu tome, toga sajma
neka sjena se skriva
Iza kamenog razbitog oltara
svoje lice hrvatskom krvi miva
nečista savjest europska, stara.

Mi lomimo kruh i dižemo kalež
žrtvu hrvatskog oltara govoreći -
Narodima svijeta, narodima svijeta
€-“ za vaše otkupljenje!

Stihove napisao Mile Prpa, travnja 1993.
